Heart Art Chunky Book pages

After some false starts, I finally finished my PHENOMENALLY late pages for nicci's Heart Art Chunky Book...

I had the imagery done before I figured out what I wanted to write on it. After that, the lyrics from Neil Young's Heart of Gold felt like a perfect wistful fit.

On the back, leading to the sailing ship:
... I crossed the ocean for a heart of gold
I've been in my mind, it's such a fine line...

On the back, leading to the rocket ship:
... Expressions I never give
That keep me searching for a heart of gold
And I'm getting old...

As I worked on this I found myself enjoying it even more than I thought I would, even more than most of my artwork lately. It feels very personal to me, and also reminds me of some characters I've written in the past.

On an unrelated note, I posted the zoom views of that cat bag from the other day.

Thanks. ^_^ The full set is actually a photo, and the other two are scans. I heart keeping high-res scans of stuff.

So what's the official resume line to use for the High Falootin Library Show? Hee.
