Cats and dogs, living together! (digital paintings)

Forgot to post these last night. I'm still fooling around with the tablet.

See, if I could draw my monoprints completely on the computer, and if it's quicker than the usual way, then I could use this approach to make one-offs instead of editions of twelve. Print at 8.5x11 and sell them as one-of-a-kind originals.

As you can see, I think this experiment was fairly successful. ^_^ I haven't printed these yet, so I watermarked the zoomed-in views.

Those are really nice. I like the chain-link fence pattern on the dog.

Yeah, I figured that pattern would be appropriate. Thanks for the compliment!

I don't know why I'm so obsessed with these chunky cartoons, but hey... as long as I'm enjoying them...

I know I said I would print them as one-offs, but I could conceivably make editions of six if I preferred (very easily) by shifting the colors. But, having an edition would reduce the sale price and increase the workload of scanning, eBay posting, and shipping... so, I suspect these will turn more profit per source image.

Of course, I could also sell as an open edition and just go to town wholesaling to frame shops and stuff. There's lots of options. :D
